This process is essential to our hoppy beer program, as it allows us to choose unique and delectable lots of hops you won't get to taste anywhere else. \n\nThis year we selected for the varietal Citra, otherwise known as the GOAT (not actually, but let’s be honest, this hop basically made IPA what it is today) and as always, it was a lovely variety to select for. This year we ended up choosing a lot of Citra grown in Idaho for the first time from the legends at Jackson Farms. We always choose lots blindly (knowing nothing about them before smelling), so it’s really cool to blindly choose a lot of Citra from a new (to us) region!
