Badlands Brewing Company – #SELECT (BBA Madagascar Vanilla)

This year we wanted to wrap our barrel aged stout program into the #SELECT event and choose the best barrels we have available, BUT we also wanted to wrap our obsession with vanilla into the event as well.

We started by asking our vanilla supplier if they had any particular lots of Madagascar Vanilla that they were particularly jazzed about, and as luck would have it, they had just finished selecting some a few weeks prior and the level of vigorous jazz hands was particularly exciting. So we dosed the beer with a very generous amount of this most exquisite vanilla lot!

#SELECT (BBA Madagascar Vanilla) is a blend of Willet and Old Elk Bourbon barrels aged for 15 months and then further aged on hand selected Madagascar Vanilla at a very generous dosing rate.
