Wren House Brewing Company – Maple & Bourbon Double Barrel Aged Pecan Pie Thief

Last November, we filled a few BLiS maple syrup barrels (that formerly held Heaven Hill bourbon) with our rich Pecan Pie Thief. When we deemed them at their prime, we jumped them over to Jim Beam Black barrels to finish their aging. Of course, this annual release wouldn’t be complete without our friends at Little Miss BBQ. Smoking a heap of our pecans for us to condition this beer on, in addition to the signature Keystone process. Hand-split Dominican Republic vanilla beans in this release, we’re getting harmonious flavors of decadent vanilla with that maple sweetness, a brownie batter type of decadence. A touch of smoke with the pecan flavors towards the finish.
