Description
When we got together with our friends from Fair State Brewing Cooperative back in late 2024 we sought out to brew a barleywine that set itself apart from our regular annual releases. Instead of our standard house malt bland we used Heritage Gold Malt as the base and included a healthy addition of Honey Malt as well. Both the Heritage Gold and Honey malts bring delicate honey notes to the beer. Despite being only a year old it drinks like it's been aged for much longer. Heavy notes of Honey, Biscuit, and toffee. Slight notes of cherry, almond and vanilla. Aged 1 year in bourbon barrels.
