The Thirsty Lambertus
Lambertus was born in Maastricht and, according to legend, could already speak 3 months after his birth. He became Bishop of Maastricht and is venerated in both Dutch and Belgian towns along the Meuse. In Maastricht, you can find his statue on the Wilhelminasingel in Wyck and his church on the Emmaplein.
