#SELECT - NELSON SAUVIN (2026)

This past spring we had the great pleasure of selecting New Zealand hops from our friends at Freestyle hops! This process is essential to our hoppy beer program, as it allows us to choose unique and delectable lots of hops you won't get to taste anywhere else. This year we selected for the varietal Nelson Sauvin! There’s an argument to be made that this is my favorite hop. It’s always hard to choose but Nelson is just a gorgeous varietal with so many expressions that regardless of mood, I kind of just always come back to. We typically try to select for something in the mid-late harvest window so that we can get a bit of diesely-gooseberry that really brings out the tropical fruit for us (think passionfruit). Similar to last year, I couldn’t choose a single lot, so I ended up choosing 3 different ones and blending them together ourselves to make a totally unique lot of Nelson you won’t find anywhere else. We’re thrilled to be able to share our selection of Nelson Sauvin with you.
