Dit bier kleurt donker amber en wordt bekroond met een overvloedige en sterk wandklevende schuimkraag. De neus van de Westvleteren 8 is een aantrekkelijke combinatie van groene noten, zacht fruit en een tikkeltje karamel. De verschillende smaken van dit bier leiden tot een harmonieuze maar toch complexe smaaksensatie. Je proeft als het ware de mouten, tot de pellen van de gerst toe. De smaak wordt afgerond met een verrassend complementaire en krachtige hopbitterheid.

This beer has a dark amber color and is crowned with an abundant and strongly adhesive head. The nose of the Westvleteren 8 is an attractive combination of green notes, soft fruit and a touch of caramel. The different flavors of this beer lead to a harmonious yet complex taste sensation. You can taste the malts, as it were, right down to the husks of the barley. The taste is rounded off with a surprisingly complementary and powerful hop bitterness.
